How far will your projectile go?

Good Day Barons and Maidens!

We beseech thee to create a trebuchet to protect your Lord' s fortress by launching a tennis ball from your trebuchet to the farthest point.

We would like to know what materials were used to build your trebuchet and how far your tennis ball went. Keep a journal of all your attempts and improvements you made along the way. Things you may want to include in your journal are... (See template)

~group name (ie: the Noble Knights)
~time spent creating your trebuchet and launching
~materials used
~dates of the attempts and the weather on those days
~what time of day did you launch
~if you made improvements, tell why your felt they were necessary and how you accomplished the change
~record all distances and give an average launching distance, as well as, your furthest distance

Take this information and include the following in your blog...

~Group Name
~School Name, City and State
~Teacher's Name
~Materials used
~Distance tennis ball traveled
~Average distance of all attempts
~Number of attempts

Please have your teacher email a picture to us at (cdzurnak.bw.edu) to include in our webside.

Fare thee as well as I fare!
